Bio:
Mike Glowacki, a third generation islander, is known for his business savvy and long-time civic service.
After graduating from SUNY Cobleskill NY in 1976, Mike returned to the island to run the family business, Albert Glowacki Landscape, Inc., which later became G&M Landscape Services. While expanding the business, Mike became involved in non profits and in local government, where he consistently meshed his managerial and business skills with his ability to find the common ground. Mike chaired the Nantucket Conservation Commission during the contentious 90s, and subsequently chaired the Nantucket Board of Selectmen, as they updated the town's fiscal and budgeting processes.
Unforeseeably, Mike became responsible for overseeing two additional family businesses, Nantucket Marine and Outdoor Power Equipment, and for navigating the sale of both.
Knee deep in the real estate business, managing a small portfolio of island properties, Mike learned a lot about what drives the markets. That challenge brought an evolving focus and a role at Windwalker Real Estate, where Mike's experience brings value to buyers and sellers all along the price spectrum by helping them to understand how the current market conditions relate to their particular situations.
