Bio:
Judy Waters joined Windwalker in 2006 and today serves as the Principal Broker. A Connecticut native, Judy’s interest in real estate began in the early 1970s when she worked for a small real estate team in creating one of the first planned unit developments in Massachusetts. She obtained her Massachusetts broker’s license in 1979 and was affiliated full-time with residential real estate companies both west and south of Boston. She is a knowledgeable and thorough broker who is known for listening to clients, paying close attention to detail and staying involved with transactions from start to successful finish.
Since becoming a year-round Nantucket resident in 1996, Judy has been successful in handling a wide variety of residential and commercial sales on the island. She values the relationships that she has with her clients and places great value in being a part of their Nantucket experience long after a sale has been completed.
Judy earned the ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) designation in 2006, the SRS (Seller Representative Specialist) designation in 2008 and the SFR (Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource) in 2010.
Active in the local community, Judy and her husband have been loyal supporters of the Palliative and Supportive Care of Nantucket Foundation, Nantucket Artist’s Association, Landmark House, Nantucket Ice, Nantucket Wine Festival and Nantucket Angler’s Club. As a family, the Waters thoroughly enjoy the raw, natural beauty of the island and express their appreciation through gardening, fishing, clamming, scalloping and photography. Judy’s additional passions include music, gardening and sharing the island and its special secrets with family and friends, especially in the off-season.
